This is a unique opportunity to learn about both Barnstable’s and the Coast Guard’s rich history here on the Cape from those who have served our country in the Coast Guard and are now dedicated to preserving that Service’s legacy. Captain Buck Baley, Captain Greg Ketchen and Chief Steve Frye will be among the presenters on consecutive evenings over Labor Day weekend on the grounds of the Coast Guard Heritage Museum at the old Customhouse in Barnstable Village (3353 Main Street – Rt 6A). The talks will be preceded by a formal lowering of the flag (military evening colors) preformed at sunset (~7:10 PM) and then followed by evening tours of the museum (starting at ~ 8 PM).
